Here in this body are the sacred rivers: here are the sun and the moon and all the pilgrimage places.
I have not yet found another temple as blissful as my own body.

During a time of personal struggle, Virginie Noel’s personal experience of Nature’s healing power in New Zealand’s forests reawakened and strongly called home her understanding of the interconnectedness of all life.

Alone in Nature, she questioned from the depths of being what it means to be alive and to be part of the human world and the Earth – screaming out the need to fully experience this world, with all its beauty and pain. A narrative of Nature as the mirror develops: images of one’s own body can be seen everywhere – in fading fern leaves, in the shadows of a forest, in the sensuality of mist over water. It takes us on a journey through layers of being into the core of ourselves, where the substance of ourselves seems to dissolve into a Nature which surrounds and holds us, with its boundless beauty and pain endlessly pulsating within.
